We are happy to feature the recent redesign and relaunch of St. Louis Magazine (stlmag.com).
Project highlights:
- New visual design
- New section editor and sprockets
- Sponsored content
- Custom ad zones and targeting with Broadstreet
After running on Metro Publisher for several years, St. Louis Magazine’s website needed a design refresh. The relaunch was a great opportunity to modernize existing design elements as well as update various older features to allow for greater flexibility and make the best use of what Metro Publisher has to offer.
Updated Visual Styling
Metro Publisher’s launch project group collaborated with St. Louis Magazine’s staff to create a visually appealing redesign that included custom fonts from Adobe Typekit, wider pages, better use of images, and flexible layouts on landing pages.

New Section Editor
With the new new section editor, we were able to create a variety of layouts for the section landing pages. The layouts include unique styling for sprockets as well as background containers. These changes allow editors to promote content by a variety of means without touching any code.

Sponsored content
We employed a simple tag system combined with some custom CSS styling for sponsored content. This allows editors to manage sponsored content throughout the website easily and with as much flexibility as possible by simply selecting a sponsored tag.

Broadstreet
We created custom ad zones and targeting parameters using Metro Publisher’s updated integration with Broadstreet. With his new integration, editors can now use keyword targeting to further control ad placements throughout their website.
