Google Maps API
Starting June 11, 2018 Google will require all websites using Google Maps to have an account and API key.
All Metro Publisher clients MUST update their Google API Key.
Metro Publisher makes extensive use of Google Maps on locations, events, reviews and roundups. As a result, it is important that you set up your Google Maps account and retrieve the API Key in order to continue using Google Maps on your website.
- In most places, Metro Publishers utilizes the embed version of Google Maps which is free to use*
- Google is offering a $200 a month credit towards any charges
- A credit card is required

*Metro Publisher currently utilizes Google's "dynamic" maps on Location Roundups, Location and Event Searches. This is free up to 40,000 calls per month. If you use this feature and have high traffic volume, you may incur additional charges. Please refer to Google's documentation for pricing.
